Animal Coloration

色面の形と色の組み合わせがもたらすイメージによって全く同じ図案が異なるモチーフに見えてくる、という配色による多義図形のパターンデザインのもと、動物モチーフの配色と自然をモチーフとした配色が表裏一体となりリバーシブルで使えるジャガード織りテキスタイルを開発した。

キービジュアルとなる［ZEBRA］は、表面がしまうまの群れを表現した配色、裏面が生き生きとした植物を連想させる配色になっていて、表裏でガラリと柄の印象が変わる。しまうまの美しく伸びやかな縞模様の連なりに、活力溢れる植物の葉脈の様を感じたのがパターンデザインを描くきっかけとなり、この【Animal coloeration】シリーズが生まれた。

Based on a design featuring ambiguous patterns created by the interplay of color and form — where an identical pattern appears as a different motif depending on the visual impression evoked by the color combinations — we have developed a yarn-dyed jacquard textile in which animal- and nature-inspired color schemes are seamlessly combined, creating a reversible fabric.

The key visual, “ZEBRA”, features a color scheme that evokes a herd of zebras on one side, and the image of vibrant plants on the other.

［LEOPARD / SNOWLEOPARD］は、ロゼッタと呼ばれるヒョウの模様をモチーフとし、レオパード柄の派手なイメージに反して、柔らかい形とベーシックな色味で構成することで、インテリアに馴染みやすいデザインとなっている。裏面の配色は、春色に包まれる花畑、新緑の雑木林、青空に浮かぶ雲、といった爽やかな自然の風景をイメージして作った３配色が並ぶ。

［GIRAFFE］は、網目のようなブロック柄が大胆で目をひくデザイン。コントラストが美しいダークブラウンのキリンと夕日に染まったような鮮やかな色味のキリンをモチーフとした表面の配色に、きらめく水面、揺蕩う流氷、といった海の表情を連想して作った２配色の展開。

経糸にナイロン、緯糸にコットンを使用し、天然素材の優しい肌触りとふっくらとした生地の厚みに対して、軽く丈夫な生地に仕上げ、インテリアテキスタイルとしても変幻自在、幅広い用途で使用できる生地になっている。ソファカバーやベットスロー、間仕切り布などとして使える大判マルチテキスタイルから、日常生活で活躍するようなインテリア小物などにプロダクト展開してく。表にする面によって色の系統がガラリと変わるので、お部屋の雰囲気や季節に合わせてよりインテリアコーディネートが楽しめる。

【LEOPARD/SNOWLEOPARD】eatures three color schemes inspired by refreshing natural landscapes —such as flower fields bathed in spring hues, groves of fresh greenery, and clouds floating against a blue sky — contrasting with the surface pattern’s leopard-print motif, known as “Rosetta”. Contrary to the flashy image often associated with leopard prints, this collection is composed of basic colors, making it easy to incorporate into any interior.

【GIRAFFE】features a bold, eye-catching design with a mesh-like block pattern, with a small giraffe hidden within. The design offers two color variations: One featuring a giraffe motif in vivid, sunset-hued colors, and another inspired by the sea — evoking images of shimmering water and drifting ice floes.

Using nylon for the warp and cotton for the weft, we have created a durable yet lightweight fabric that retains the soft, pleasant-to-touch characteristics of natural materials. This versatile fabric is suitable for a wide range of applications, including interior textiles. The product line ranges from large-format multi-purpose textiles — suitable for sofa covers, bed throws, and room dividers — to interior accessories that enhance everyday life. All items are reversible, and the color scheme changes dramatically depending on which side is facing out, allowing you to enjoy interior coordination that matches the mood of your room or the season.
