HOLE

生地の “穴” を組み合わせて作成したインスタレーション作品。
手織りの多重組織の技法を用いて穴のあいた織物を複数作成し、それらをお互いの穴に通して組み合わせることで、一枚の生地が大きな面へ変化する。
さらに面をユニットとして構成することでより大きな空間が生まれる。縫製で立体的な形を作るのではなく、“穴” を機能的に利用することで、平面的 な布が空間をもつ立体作品へと立ち上がる可能性を追求した。
また、織物に後加工で発泡プリントを施しプリントの内側部分の布を切り抜いて穴を作ることで、生地自体がほつれることなく視覚的にも楽しい、カ ラフルでリズミカルなデザインにしている。

A Textile Installation created by combining “holes.” Using multiple-weave techniques, multiple piece of textiles with holes were created. By threading these textiles through each other’s holes and combining them, a single piece of woven textile transforms into a large surface. Furthermore, by structuring these surfaces as units, an even larger spatial volume emerges. Rather than creating three-dimensional forms through sewing, this work explores the potential for flat fabric to rise into a spatial, three-dimensional form by functionally utilizing the “holes.” Additionally, foam printing was applied to the fabric post-production. By cutting out the interior of the printed design, holes were created without fraying the textile, resulting in a visually engaging, colorful, and rhythmic design.
